I've hang out a lot with friends for the past few weeks and of course I've watched a lot of movies as usual.
It was a bit special on 22nd of March. That day, I went to Alliance Francaise for the
petit déjeuner(light breakfast). It is a regular event which is held once every term ended. This event is also opened to outsiders who are friends to the members. French style breakfast which consisted of various pastry was being served there. We had conversation among ourselves. I left there around 11am.

On 27th of March, I went out with YW for movies. Before we went to buy the tickets, we had our lunch at Chun's Restaurant. We met up with Aimun and her boy friend outside the cinema there. What a coincidence! So we decided to watch movies together. After some discussion, we've decided to watch 2 movies that day. First we watched Awake at 1.45pm.

Awake is a movie about a rich capital-investment firm's director, Clay waking up from his anesthesia during his heart transplant surgery. He was awake and aware BUT he couldn't do anything as his body was paralyzed. I was quite shocked that this is a situation which will actually happen in real life. However, his surgeon, Dr Harper didn't realise this. Soon, Clay discovered that there's a conspiracy being carried out towards him. Dr Harper, Clay's newly wed wife and also the other surgeons were in a plot to kill him so that they can get Clay's money. In the end, Clay with the help of his mother managed to save himself from being murdered. The movie ain't really that nice but the plot and the story are something new to me. Other than that, it was also an experience to see how a surgeon cut through the flesh in a heart transplant surgery. Jessica Alba and Hayden Christensen did act very well though I prefer the cast of Hayden in Jumper.

Cindy joined us after the movie. We strolled around in the mall before the second movie started. Finally, the second movie which is 27 dresses started at 5.10pm. 27 dresses is a movie which will definitely NOT be on my must to watch list. However, watching it with friends just wouldn't be that bad. Not to comment that this movie is lousy but it is definitely meant for girls...same as Enchanted. The storyline of this movie is actually kinda new. However it did give me a sense of likeliness with 'The Devil Wears Prada'. Don't know why, but I was having a minor headache during the movie.

After the movie, we went to Max Gourmet which is opposite the mall to have our dinner. After we finished our dinner, we went back home.
And from 28th of March till 19th of April, I've watched quite a number of movies with my fellow friends...mostly Gang of 5+VJS. Due to the time restriction and 'pressure' from few friends, I've to make this post short.

On 3rd of April which is my off day, I watched Death Note 3: L Changed The World with KH and ST. The movie is way worse than my expectation. I expect a movie which is as nice as the previous sequels of Death Note. However this Death Note 3 is barely related to the previous Death Note sequels. I wouldn't say that this will be among the movie I like. The storyline and the effects just don't seems stunning enough. I thought it will be related lots to the Death Note however it is more about L and what he has done to save the world.
4th of April night, after I finished my work in Queensbay Mall, I rushed to downtown. Yeah, end up there at Red around 10.50pm to joined the rest. It was actually a so called farewell gathering for YW. And it was like for her birthday which is on 7th of April. Everyone had enjoyed themselves that night and GS sang. We left there around 1am. Happy Birthday in advance to YW and Take GOOD care of yourself there. Do come back to Penang frequently. ^^ Anyway there's an advise for those who want to play Smack Jack, Please do keep your nails short.

The next movie was on 10th of April. It was Nim's Island. I watched it with ST and YY before I worked. This is an adventurous movie and contain some comedy genes in it. \Lots of computer effects were used. The plot of the story is interesting. It is about a girl who lives on an isolated island with her father doing research on marine organisms. The girl who is called Nim, has a few 'pets' with her on the island and she has given each of them a name. On one day which Nim's father has to leave the island to do a research on a type of protozoa, a storm hits the island and also the area whereby her father was doing research. As a result, her father's boat was totally wrecked and he is lost in the middle of the sea. In the mean time, Nim's favourite book's author, Alexandra Rover contacted her. Knowing Nim's chronic condition on the island, Alex who seldom leaves her home decided to rescue Nim! And so begins the hilarious journey and Alex's fictional character, Alex Rover is always beside her during the journey. The movie will be suitable for kids too...and I suppose kids are within their targets. As a conclusion, it wouldn't be among my favourite movies.
It was 11th of April. Mr Lee Ghee Siong aka Bananagod has a sudden change in his plan and well...he was off to Singapore to further his future studies in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. There should be no worries for this dude. He should enjoy Singapore lots and can adapt there well enough. It's like the cultures are in his blood. On that day morning, we went to the airport to send him off. KH fetched me there. On the way, we met WL's car and GS's car.

We chat in the airport after GS settle his stuff. Roughly 11 friends were there to send him off. LUCKY him. LOL...
GS with his ONE and THE ONLY expression.
Some of the guys there.Extra: Update on GS in Singapore.
Looks cool hur...meditation?
16th of April...went to watched Street Kings with KH and WL in Queensbay Mall as it was Movie Day. The movie started at 12.15pm. After the movie, I've to work again at 2.30pm. ><
From the trailers, I've expected that this movie must be packed with actions especially gun fighting. The opening of the movie for sure didn't let me down. However, the whole movie is more to talking than action. Though from time to time, there are some intense gun fighting between the cops and those gunmen, the movie need some thinking too. It shows you some untold stories of the police force. How some criminals were being shot dead before they can even surrender. Slowly, the movie will reveal a conspiracy behind all those events in the movies. Eventually, Detective Ludlow (Keanu Reeves) was being framed by his superior and other colleagues. The movie also features some corruption involved in the police force. You can also discovered how police will deal with drugs, criminals and also the undercover policemen in another way(the unofficial way). Keanu Reeves is still as cool and good looking as before in Matrix.

The next day, 17th of April which is my off day, WL, ST and I went to buy food and snacks for the Genting Trip. Before we went to Tesco for the purchasing, we went to the travel agent to settle the payment. That day, we actually bought quite lot of biscuits and snacks. After that, we placed the food at my house and ST and I went to QB while WL went home. We went to find YY first before going to the cinema. Due to time restriction, we decided to watch Definitely Maybe.
At first, I thought this will not be a nice movie. However, I found myself wrong after the movie started. This movie is damn funny. It's about a daughter who check her father's love history. What a new theme...and the way of presentation is fresh too. In short, the movie is nice and everything is just about the right point in it. You can never ask for too much.
